How many people like root beer?
I'm sure quite a few of you do like that wonderful drink that can be found in supermarkets around the globe.
Now how many people have very specific tastes in root beer?
There is of course the old Barq's root beer to which i'm a fan; IBC Rootbeer; Henry Weinhards; Mug; A&W; Hansens... and so on.
Rootbeer is made of simple herbs like vanilla, licorice, hops (occasionally), ginger, sarsparilla, dog grass, and birch bark. Of course there are a few other things that are used in making root beer that are diversed around the globe. In Germany a common herb in the production of root beer is Dog Grass; Italians like to use Juniper Berries; In North Carolina in the United States Wintergreen, which is what we find in Root Beer today.
Root Beer is made like beer is made, and in some brands and makes of root beer there is an alcohol content. Its usually low however, as Root Beer is a common beverage that minors consume, at least in the US. It undergoes a fermentation simillar to common beer.
Some Root Beer is more frothy, like a good old Henry Weinhards. Barq's has that good old thing called Caffeine. Though the common Root Beer has no frothy texture or Caffeine content.
